I like complaining (gerund)

Today was so awful.

I had a practical test in class. We were given a biscuit recipe and had to make a fruit shortcake with it, using whatever we wanted/could find. Of course, nothing was available in the kitchen, except the obvious strawberries/blueberries, which I did not want to use. I originally wanted to do some kind of banana cream shortcake. No bananas. Then I tried to do a piña colada-esque shortcake. No pineapple. So I had to end up using blueberries and added some caramelized peaches. This was supposed to be done at 10:30Am, but I didn't finish until 12. I felt so incompetent. This is what I ended up with:


More awfulness:

• it's dish-duty week. Stayed 2 hours after class, washing dishes.
• Trains were not running. Tried to take a random bus home which dropped me off just 3 blocks away.
• Saw a jackinthebox by the bus stop. Almost ordered, then realized I left my wallet at home.

Spam emails are getting out of hand. They start out with comically annoying subject line: "Hey ho! How are you?". Then, they get a little scary with: "Reply or get killed!" Oh fuck.

And here's my personal favorite: "Beat her tonight".

ahhhh! I saw Jon Lovitz last night, while I was working! My #1 guy.

I finally broke the silence with my mom today. I hadn't spoken to her for more than a month, which was kind of awkward since we live together.

On a separate note, I took Riley a bath because he rolled around in shit (his favorite pastime):

I saw the new Star Trek movie today. Is it weird to say that I think Spock is hot?

You guys don't even realize how big this bite has gotten. That is not my elbow...

I got stung by a bee yesterday, and now I'm left with an itchy lump on my arm.

My butt doesn't look so bad at this angle.

I was talking to my dad on the phone today about Twilight (whaaat), and then I found out that he listens to Animal Collective and the Fiery Furnaces. My dad is the coolest.

I saw this at the mall this weekend and immediately wanted to take him home. Didn't I just turn 24 not 14??!!

Again, I am putting off writing an English paper. Instead I'm listening to Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie & Siamese Dream) and Silverchair, reminiscing about being a preteen in the 90's.

where's the icy/hot?
